Parallel Studios, the creators of the Ethereum-based card game Parallel, have revealed a new 3D shooter project titled Project Tau Ceti.
Unveiled at the Token 2049 event in Singapore, the game is designed to expand and complement the existing lore and gameplay, bringing the characters and themes of Parallel to life in a more immersive and interactive format.
Project Tau Ceti will use Unreal Engine 5 to bring the sci-fi world of Parallel into a fully realized 3D environment, whilst offering both traditional and blockchain gaming options.

What is Project Tau Ceti?
Project Tau Ceti aims to enrich the Parallel universe by introducing players to a new gameplay experience that goes beyond the card-based mechanics.
The game will feature a third-person shooter format, allowing players to explore the sci-fi world of Parallel through real-time combat on detailed maps. This expansion is intended to offer a different way to interact with the story and characters and aims to appeal to a broader audience.
Whilst the original Parallel game integrated blockchain elements at its core, Project Tau Ceti will offer these features as optional. Players can choose to mint in-game items like weapons and skins as NFTs, but this will not be a requirement to participate in the game.
The goal is to make the game accessible to a wide range of players, including those unfamiliar with blockchain technology.
