Tech giant Apple Inc. is set to unveil its iPhone 16 lineup during the “It’s Glowtime” event live-streamed on September 9 at 17:00 UTC.
The iPhone 16 models will likely focus on advanced artificial intelligence (AI) features, including improvements in image recognition and smart suggestions—running on iOS 18—which was first announced in June.
Whilst Apple has confirmed its emphasis on AI, there are also rumors, including a tweet from a web3 art curator, suggesting possible blockchain support specifically the capability to cast tokenized art.

Rumored Blockchain Features with White Walls
One of the more interesting rumors surrounding the iPhone 16 is the possibility of blockchain support, specifically for displaying tokenized art with White Walls app.
The White Walls app, a platform designed to verify and display digital assets such as NFTs, could be integrated with the new iPhone models. White Walls allows users to cast NFTs from their Ethereum wallets to TVs via Apple TV, turning digital assets into home displays.
If this feature is introduced, Apple would be entering a space already explored by other mobile devices. For instance, Solana Mobile’s Saga, a web3-focused smartphone, has been designed with blockchain and NFT management in mind. The Saga enables users to natively manage crypto assets and interact with dApps.
Apple’s potential move into this area would place the iPhone 16 in competition with similar devices, signaling a broader shift toward blockchain integration in consumer technology.
