The collection, featuring 999 exclusive NFTs, were quickly minted during its public mint on August 22, marking a pivotal moment for the project as X-Protocol continue to prepare for the release of their nodes.

These NFTs are now being traded on popular secondary markets such as Magic Eden and OpenSea, with the floor price currently sitting at 0.0268 ETH.

What is X-Protocol?

Backed by venture capital firms such as CoinFund, Saison Ventures, DragonFly Capital and more, X-Protocol is a modular Layer-3 blockchain designed specifically for the gaming and entertainment sectors.

Built on Ethereum Layer-2 Base, and using their Superchain technology, X-Protocol is designed to be compatible with EVM projects – with seamless migration and integration – and focuses on improving the scalability and efficiency of blockchain transactions.

X-Protocol offers developers the infrastructure and tools needed to incorporate blockchain technology into gaming, addressing key challenges in web3 gaming such as high transaction fees and complex wallet management.

“Our goal is to eliminate the process of web3 wallet handling in games which is not convenient for mass audiences,” said Dragonix, co-founder and Core Contributor to X-Protocol. “[We’re] also reducing high network fees and issues within blockchain gaming that limit its growth and adoption. We’d like to thank our Genesis holders who also share that vision.”

X-Protocol’s infrastructure supports up to 1,000 transactions per second (TPS), bundled transactions together to significantly reduce costs. This approach is intended to decrease the load on the main Ethereum network, allowing for faster and more cost-effective transactions.

“X-Protocol’s interoperability features across games and platforms, multi-layered security protocols and incentivisation methods are some of the many key factors for investor interests so far in the Genesis collection,” added Dragonix. “Those who play games under the ecosystem or operate the coming nodes to validate our network will also be recipients of rewards within the ecosystem.”

What are the benefits to holding a Genesis NFT?

Holders of X-Protocol’s Genesis NFTs gain several key advantages, including guaranteed access to the upcoming Xardian Node sale.

Genesis NFT holders will also receive airdrops of the platform’s forthcoming $KICK Token.

Beyond these core benefits, these NFTs also offer multipliers for future airdrops, entry into raffles and contests, VIP access to ecosystem partners, and exclusive experiences at community events.

X-Protocol’s Expanding Ecosystem and Developments

X-Protocol has already proven its value in the gaming industry through its integration with Wonderverse, a Telegram-based RPG game incubated by Seedify. This integration enables players to earn both $KICK and $WONDER tokens simultaneously.

Additionally, X-Protocol has collaborated with Zap.tech as part of the Base Gigadrops initiative, which provides rewards to participants in various projects built on Ethereum Layer-2 Base.

Looking ahead, X-Protocol remains on schedule for its mainnet launch, and is gearing up for the opening of the whitelist sale for Xardian Nodes on August 27. These nodes will offer rewards such as $KICK tokens, sequencer fees, and access to future airdrops.
