What is ‘Dullsville and the Doodleverse’?

‘Dullsville and the Doodleverse’ is a short animated film set to premiere in September at the Toronto International Film Festival.

The first trailer was released on July 17, taking viewers to the town of Dullsville, where imagination is controlled by the corporation Dream Pump Industries.

The protagonists, Hap and his cat Mello, navigate a world of dull routines until a chance encounter with a Dream Pump Industries delivery truck transports them into the Doodleverse, a realm of boundless imagination. Hap must overcome his self-doubt and harness his creativity to return home, forever changing life in Dullsville.

In addition to the label announcement, Doodles has also launched DoodlesTV, a platform providing fans early access to music releases and video premieres.

“Music is and will continue to be a core pillar of Doodles, so we’re thrilled to announce the official formation of Doodles Records,” says CEO of Doodles Julian Holguin. “Releasing music with some of the most legendary and relevant artists in the world on our first project is a dream come true and a massive source of pride. Moving forward, we will fuse music, animation and technology to create groundbreaking content experiences that will empower artists and their communities.”

Starting next week, fans can purchase a season one all-access media pass for DoodlesTV, offering early viewing of the “Dullsville and the Doodleverse” animated special.
