SEALSQ Strengthens Luxury Asset Security with NFT Technology

SEALSQ Corp. and its parent company, WISeKey International Holding Ltd., have announced its patented integration of Digital Identification with NFT to enhance luxury assets security and protection.

The system uses secure digital certificates embedded in physical assets and linked to blockchain-based NFTs designed to help verify the authenticity of high-value items like Swiss watches, fine art, and collectibles.

The integration aims to make it harder to counterfeit or duplicate these certificates.

How will SEAL SQ’s Asset Security work?

The NFT will contain a unique identifier linked to the item which can be verified to confirm ownership and authenticity.

SEALSQ’s VaultIC155 NFC secure element can be embedded in luxury items, allowing the certificate to be authenticated with NFC-enabled devices. This technology allows brands to issue digital certificates and securely validate them. When a certified product is scanned, its information is recorded on a blockchain ledger.

The companies have also introduced the concept of a “Product Birth Certificate” to include information such as the product’s manufacturing date and company details, providing a way to track a product’s history throughout its life cycle.

WISeKey and SEALSQ have over 46 patent families, including more than 100 individual patents covering a variety of areas, such as secure chip design, Near Field Communication (NFC), and cryptography, which has been used to secure products worldwide, including jewelry, high-end watches, and art pieces.
