Japanese video game publisher Square Enix has announced the restocking of Bring Arts action figures featuring Final Fantasy VII characters Cloud Strife and Tifa Lockhart.
These figures will be available for pre-order on the Japanese Square Enix e-Store at a price of 13,200 yen each (~$87). Notably, the re-release will not include NFT certificates, in contrast to the original versions.
The Cloud Strife Bring Arts figure was initially revealed in July 2022, followed by the Tifa Lockhart figure alongside Aerith in September 2022. Both releases included NFT certificates, a decision that garnered criticism from fans and collectors.
However, Square Enix’s decision to exclude NFTs from the upcoming restock diverges from this approach.

A Departure from NFT Integration
The company did not mention NFT certificates during the unveiling of subsequent Final Fantasy VII Bring Arts figures in February 2024, including characters such as Yuffie, Vincent, Cid, and Cait Sith. The absence of NFTs in these releases signaled a departure from the previous integration.
Square Enix confirmed the omission of NFTs from the restocked Cloud and Tifa figures via the e-Store’s official X account. The announcement was accompanied by a disclaimer stating that the products will not include digital genuine product certificates.
The Final Fantasy VII Bring Arts figures of Cloud Strife and Tifa Lockhart are set to be available for purchase again on July 27, 2024.
