Arbitrum Opens Catalyst Program to Fuel Blockchain Gaming

Arbitrum — an Ethereum Layer 2 solution — is seeking to transform and leave its footprint on the blockchain gaming realm with its innovative ‘Gaming Catalyst Program; (GCP).

GCP focuses on aiding game developers through resource optimization, improved experiences, and application diversity within Arbitrum’s ecosystem. It aims to achieve such goals by offering financial aid, market insights, and vast resources for Web3 gaming development.

The allocation of 200 million $ARB tokens (worth about $400 million as per Coinbase) over two years includes 160 million for developer support and 40 million for infrastructure, managed by the Venture Team and Council to meet Arbitrum DAO’s objectives.

Gaming Growth and Governance Strategies

The GCP aims to position Arbitrum as the premier network for 20% of Web3 gaming, while initiating more than 25 ‘Orbit’ gaming projects. Critical to this endeavor is providing expert guidance on industry standards and best practices, ensuring the success of gaming ventures involved.

Additionally, governance measures are in place to ensure transparency and accountability, including the election of council members, the creation of the Venture Team granting $ARB, and frequent updates on the program’s progress.

As blockchain gaming continues to evolve, Arbitrum’s strategic initiatives are designed to enhance its position in the landscape, empowering developers to forge groundbreaking gaming innovations.
