Japan Airlines’ ‘KOYKO NFTs’ Elevate Six Local Experiences

In an eagerly awaited release this month, Japan Airlines Ltd (JAL) and the renowned Japanese advertising firm Hakuhodo are set to fly high with its second phase of ‘KOKYO NFTs‘.

Effortlessly blending culture, tradition, and the digital realm, these non-fungible assets will provide exclusive access to six immersive Japanese experiences — spanning from fireworks cruises to samurai culture immersion — uniting age-old customs with modern innovation.

Special thanks to Rarible for playing a crucial role in enabling both primary and secondary sales, thereby making the unique KOKYO-based experiences readily available to global explorers keen on discovering Japan.

Captivating NFT-Based Adventures

Regarding these intriguing digital collectibles, first in line are the ‘Fireworks Cruise NFTs’, granting holders the unique opportunity to craft their very own fireworks during a guided production workshop and then enjoy them on a special fireworks sightseeing cruise.

Next up for fans of premium sake are the ‘Premium Sake NFTs’, which open an exclusive tour of a top-tier sake brewery, complete with a tasty tasting session. Additionally, these collectibles includes a bottle of premium ‘uka’ and a VIP card for priority purchasing rights.

On the flip side, Craft enthusiasts can enjoy immersing themselves in the ‘Japanese Knife NFT’ experience, allowing them to craft a personalized knife with skilled Echizen Uchihamono craftsmen and explore the production site.

Art enthusiasts also have the ability to co-create and own NFTs at ‘Tanegashima Space Art Festival’, with the unmissable chance to send artwork to space.

Additionally available is an immersive journey into samurai culture with the ‘Samurai Family NFT’. NFT holders can become part of a 400-year-old samurai family, participate in exclusive annual events, and enjoy a 2-day stay at a traditional samurai mansion.

Last but not least, however, is the ‘Kokuto Shochu NFT’, which provides access to exclusive shochu distillery events. Owners can savor three varieties of original brown sugar shochu and enjoy reasonable pricing at the Nishihira Shochu Distillery.

It’s worth noting that all NFTs opening these unmissable local experiences throughout Japan are priced at $206 each, with the exception of the Premium Sake NFT, with a $455 price tag.

KOYKO’s Creative Campaign

The KOKYO NFT launch will include an inventive advertising campaign with dynamic origami-themed digital assets. Participants can partake in interactive missions to evolve their NFTs and earn early purchase rights for a prized collection.

JAL is set to spearhead the service planning. Meanwhile, Hakuhodo will manage the project’s production, supported by additional partners for various project facets.

Notably, these virtual collectibles on-chain follow the success of All Nippon Airways’ Web3 venture. The largest airline holding company in Japan introduced an NFT platform with aviation art by Luke Ozawa, 3D aircraft models, and an innovative ‘Airbits’ collection.

Despite Japan’s reputation as a crypto-challenging market with strict regulations and high taxes, recent policy changes aim to revitalize the sector, signifying a more welcoming attitude towards NFTs.

Hakuhodo and Japan Airlines’ NFT initiatives highlight Web3’s capacity to connect communities and safeguard cultural heritage, marking the nation’s stride towards integrating blockchain innovation into its economy and attracting travelers.
