Art Blocks Snags Sansa Marketplace to Refine Its Art Hub

In recent news attracting creatives, Art Blocks has strategically acquired Sansa, a renowned NFT marketplace best known for effortless generative art discovery, artist royalty enforcement, and outstanding curations.

Together, both key players in the CryptoArt sphere aim to build a robust generative art platform, bolstering creative possibilities and accessibility within the Art Blocks ecosystem and beyond.

We’re thrilled to announce that we have acquired @sansaxyz!

The Sansa-Art Blocks Alliance

Launched in November 2022, Sansa excels in easy art discovery, supporting artists with visibility and royalties while offering collectors diverse, curated digital art collections for a refined browsing experience. The platform has sold over 1,300 pieces, with sales exceeding $2.2 million.

Conversely, established earlier, in 2020, Art Blocks is a groundbreaking generative art platform connecting artists and collectors. In March 2023, it launched an exclusive NFT marketplace with a strong focus on ensuring fair creator royalties, similar to Sansa.

Hey y’all. In response to diminishing enforcement of creator royalties, we launched our own secondary market… It’s a big deal, and you can try it out on our newest Curated release, Cargo: https://t.co/jwglS7CWvr. Let’s get started and find out why this matters so much

Art Blocks’ portfolio boasts landmark NFT projects such as Calderon’s ‘Chromie Squiggles’, Tyler Hobbs’ ‘Fidenza’, and Dmitri Cherniak’s ‘Ringers’, which secured a mighty $6.2 million at a Sotheby’s auction in June 2023.

Now, the celebrated art hub seeks to broaden its scope and collector experiences. This is where Sansa comes in, enhancing community involvement and fostering new insights into generative art creation within the platform.

While Art Blocks remains the primary focus, there are ongoing endeavors to merge these prominent generative art platforms. It’s also worth noting that — at least for the time being — Sansa’s app will continue to operate independently.

Collaboration between Art Blocks and Sansa is fueled by their mutual aim to bolster artist communities and enhance the user experience, indicating a substantial influence on the NFT and digital art scene.
