DeFi Kingdoms Announces Patrols for PvE Gameplay on Metis

Web3 RPG DeFi Kingdoms has announced the addition of Patrols, a new PvE gameplay mode.

This feature will allow players to send their heroes on missions and face AI-controlled enemies while progressing through various skill levels.

Set to launch on the Metis Layer 2 blockchain, Patrols aims to provide accessible gameplay for new players and structured challenges for existing ones.

What is DeFi Kingdoms?

DeFi Kingdoms is a blockchain-based play-to-earn game that combines elements of DeFi with role-playing game mechanics.

Players control heroes who can embark on quests, acquire unique in-game items, and earn digital assets such as tokens and NFTs. Built on cross-chain technology, DeFi Kingdoms is designed to integrate gameplay with blockchain functionalities like staking and trading.

The game’s long-term development plan includes evolving into a MMORPG.

How do Patrols work?

Patrols is a PvE feature designed to familiarize players with the game’s combat system and provide skill-building opportunities, allowing players to send their heroes on missions to traverse maps and engage with AI-controlled enemies.

The gameplay is divided into three segments based on hero levels: 1–3, 4–6, and 7–9. Each segment offers increasingly complex challenges and opportunities for players to develop new skills.

Players can choose to collect rewards at the end of a mission or continue to additional stages for greater challenges and higher-level rewards. Rewards include in-game items, NFTs, and tokens.

This mode is restricted to heroes at levels 1 through 9. Once a hero reaches level 10, players gain access to more advanced game modes.
