Epic Games Revises Policies – Brings Back Gods Unchained

Gods Unchained made a swift return to the Epic Games Store, despite being ousted a week ago due to receiving an “Adults Only” rating from the Entertainment Software Rating Board.

Similarly, the Web3 game Striker Manager 3 — also recently removed for receiving an over 18 rating — is back in Epic.

The reasons behind the removal of both games included their use of blockchain technology. However, these titles have prompted Epic Games’ shift in policy, accepting blockchain games that leverage Play-to-Earn elements like crypto and NFTs.

Epic Games’ Stand Against Unacceptable Content

As Epic opens its arms to blockchain games regardless of not being child-friendly, the gaming powerhouse indicates a shift in gaming terrain as gamers start earning tangible real-world value during gameplay.

Although fully embracing blockchain gaming, it’s important to note that Epic is buckling down (as always) on other content categories like pornography, gambling, and hateful material. The company shows strong dedication to fostering a safe and inclusive gaming environment.

By drawing a clear line on what constitutes acceptable content, the gaming studio creates a balance, empowering innovative advancements while upholding ethical standards.

Now’s the time for more blockchain games to join the same ecosystem as some of the world’s largest gaming titles like the mighty Fortnite and Rocket League.
